About Mayflower Paper Studio
Mayflower Paper Studio is the creation of artist Kelsey, coming from
years of making and giving cards to family, and friends.
She offers cards, prints, and stickers printed with her original art, using
watercolour, gouache, colour pencil and ink to create her pieces. She uses her
own photos that she’s taken over the years as references for most of her
artwork, filling in the gaps with public domain images, or using her
imagination. She encourages people to frame their cards after they’re used to
continue enjoying.
She also offers limited runs of handmade cards and prints, most made
with stamps she designed and carved for holidays or special events.
Through Mayflower Paper Studio, she hopes to help you brighten up
someone’s day!
About the Artist
Kelsey was born and raised in Halifax/Kjipuktuk surrounded by crafty women and doing anything creative she could get her hands on. Eventually she went on to attend the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (NSCAD), graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.
Amongst her many interests (which she has too many of, and not enough
time to do them all in) some of her favorite things to do are drawing, painting, embroidery, sewing and curling up with a good book. She also occasionally teaches textile classes.
She aspires one day to write and illustrate a book.
Mayflower Paper Studio exists in Mi’kma’ki, the unceded ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi’kmaq peoples.
